I can’t think of a better way to kick off my first post in 2010 than with a ride report so here goes… I woke up this morning NOT wanting to ride but I knew that I had to (I forced myself). I was already an hour late to the meet at the Sidewalk Cafe in [...] Confederate Motorcycles. Like other small motorcycle companies, these guys produce some remarkable motorcycles. Unlike the rest of the small builders out there, Confederate makes the most visually striking bikes that this little guy has ever seen in the flesh. Everything is creatively thought out and produced in house, apart from various parts like master cylinders, [...] It happens every year, Brooklyn’s West Indian Day parade. The biggest impressions one gets when attending the parade? First it’s the colors. ROYGBIV, every color in the spectrum, you’ll see them there. Then it’s the sounds, as Robert Nesta Marley OM said, “Brutalize me with music!” There was music coming from everywhere, and it [...] Since the majority of my recent posts have been me bitching and complaining, I thought I’d post up something positive… 4 good things happened today… 1. My got my bike back together (yes, again). 2. I made it out for my first meaningful ride for quite some time. 3. On said ride, I got to see a few of my friends that I haven’t seen in a while. 4.
